How to find your raw email headers
To use this tool, you need the "original" or "raw" headers of an email. Here is how to find them in popular email clients:
Gmail
- Open the email you want to check.
- Click the three vertical dots (More) in the top-right corner of the email next to the Reply button.
- Select "Show original".
- Click "Copy to clipboard" on the new tab that opens.
Outlook
- Open the email.
- Click the three dots (More actions) at the top right of the message.
- Select "View" > "View message details".
- Copy the text in the dialog box.
Apple Mail (Mac)
- Select the email.
- Go to View in the top menu bar.
- Select Message > All Headers.
- Copy the block of text at the top of the email.
